How To Help

Thank you for your interest in the Steinbach Humane Society! We’re thrilled to have you come check us out. There are so many way in which you can help in the fight to save the lives of our furry friends.  Here is a list of ways:

Monitary Donation
If you wish to make a monetary donation to the Steinbach Humane Society, you are now able to recieve a tax receipt. Simply write out your check to D’arcy’s ARC and attach a note saying that you with the donation to go the the Steinbach Humane Society. Darcy will then issue you a receipt and pass the donation on to us, so that we are able to save many more lives.
Attending Fund Raisers
We arrange various fund raisers throughout the year.  They are fun and informative, but at the same time, so helpful.  So if you are unable to do a hands-on job in our organization, come out for some fun in support of our furry friends.

Spay/Neuter
There are so many benefits to spaying an neutering our pets.  Here are a few:
- less likely to bite
- less likely to wander away from home
- less likely to get varous cancers
- helps control the pet overpopulation problem
- helps keep animals in homes

Fosting
Our fostering program is essential in our eyes.  It makes sure that the animals in care have human interaction and affection.  Our animals get to be a part of a family, and introduced to many situations that may arise in their futre forever home.  This greatly increases thei adoption potential and gives them the best chance to start over in life.
For the foster family, it’s a chance to be a real hero.  Too many times, rescues are the animal’s last chance, and when we take them in, the foster family has litterally saved the animal’s life.  As well, many of our foster homes started out with us because they were interested in adopting a pet down the road and fostering is a great way to get a taste for what having a forever fur friend is all about, and often, our fosters end up adopting their foster fur baby.
