Hi, my name is Charlotte and I’m a pretty young adult kitty. I make friends easily and adapt to new situations quickly and very well. Marco

Hi there everyone!  My name is Marco and I am a very sweet DSH grey and white male kitty.  I’m pretty cute and the pattern in my hair makes it look like I have grey bangs.  I know my name already and will come to you when you call me.  If I could talk, I would definately answer “Polo!”  If you would like to meet me, I’ll be hanging out at Pet Valu here in Steinbach, just waiting for my forever family to come and find me, since it didn’t work so well when I was trying to find them by myself.  Thanks for your time and hopefully, we’ll meet soon.  Please don’t wait too long.

Rescue Conections

We are often asked if we are connected with other rescue groups.  The answer is yes.  We have a good relationship with many rescue groups - mainly DArcy’s A.R.C. and Pembina Valley Humane Society, but we are not affiliated with any of these other rescue group.  As well, since we are a Humane Society, people often assume that we are a kill shelter.  This is not the case.  We are a pro-life rescue.  In fact, we were the very first pro-life rescue in Manitoba, and we are very proud of that fact.

Tax Receipts For Donations

We are very pleased to announce that tax receipts are available for monetay donations. Thanks for Darcy founder and President of D’Arcy’s ARC (registered charity) in Winnipeg, who has taken us under his wing.  He has mentored us and supported the SHS from the beginning, and now has taken his kindness toa whole new level.  If you wish to make a donation to the Steinbach Humane Society, you are now able to recieve a tax receipt.  Simply write out your check to D’arcy’s ARC and attach a note saying that you with the donation to go the the Steinbach Humane Society.  Darcy will then issue you a receipt and pass the donation on to us, so that we are able to save many more lives.  Thank you Darcy, and thank you to all of you who will now be donating.  This is a dream come true!!!
