The Plan
December 5, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
We’ve been in operation for a year and a half now, working strictly out of fantastic foster homes and not a building. We will continue to work with foster homes, as that is the best option for most animals, but the amount of animals in need is so much greater then we have room for. So, our waiting list is so long. Now it’s time for us to make a real effort to aquire a building. We’re going to be doing this in 5 steps.
- Draw up a building blueprint - DONE! The Pembina Valley Humane Society has given us the blueprints from the building they are nearing com;letion on. Since they have had a simalar start-up to ours, we are shaddowing their success so that we can save as many precious lives as possible. Beloa is the layout.

- Choose a piece of land to build on
- Gather surrounding munisipality’s financial support
- collect funds through fund raising
- Build the facility!
So we’ll keep you updated on our progress.

- Do not feed your dog chicken bones - chicken bones splinter and dogs can easily choke on them or have them poke holes while traveling through their digestive tract.

- Never feed your cat milk - most cats are lactose intolerant and will most likely become ill should they ingest more milk then they can handle.
